Shigure, trying not to sound as if there was no hope replied, "I don't know what will happen. This isn't a normal situation. But I think that Yuki would feel best with you there by him."

Tohru nodded fervently, her cheeks slightly pink. She fumbled with the bag of medicines, and handed them to Shigure and one of the glasses. "Please be sure that Shigure-san also has enough medicine for himself," she said, her eyes drying slightly as her body went on auto pilot. Help Yuki. Help Shigure.
Hoping she wasn't being too bold by assuming Shigure-san would sort out Yuki's medicines himself (she immediately flushed at the thought) she walked into Yuki's room, holding the glass with both of her hands before kneeling by has bedside. Suddenly, the image of herself doing the very same thing with Akito flashed into her mind and she shivered.
She couldn't tell if he was asleep or not, so she set the glass down. "Yuki-kun...?" she whispered, hoping that if he was sleeping she didn't wake him up.

(Leaving fo FHE for the night, sorry!)
His eyes flickered open at the sound of her voice, and he shifted his next to look at her.
Yes? he asked weakly.
"Mmmf?"

[ FHE? ]
"Did I wake you? I'm so sorry!" she said with a slight tremor in her voice. "I went out for medicine--and I brought water--are you thirsty? Hungry? Is there anything I can do? I promise I'll do my best!"

(Mormon thing. Stands for "Family Home Evening." You get together and have fun as a family for an evening.)
Yuki smiled and slowly shook his head carefully, "You ssshouldnnnn't worrrrry soooo muuch." he mumbled, "Isssfine. Medsss...medzin..." he blinked and tried again, "Medz good." He shifted around to free a hand that he'd been lying on and reached out for the glass of water, "Sorrry 'bout diz. Feeel kinda weeeird, but I'll be fiiiiine. Doan' worrry soooo muuch."
Then he winked and smiled, "I ammm a little hungrrry..."
It would appear that except for one sentence, Yuki did not realize he was talking strangely. It didn't seem to bother him at all.

"Food! Right! I'm right on it!" she said, hurrying up. She had almost forgotten about the groceries she had bought at the store that were still waiting in their brown bags in the kitchen. In her haste, she tripped over herself and tumbled forward onto her hands and knees. She slowly stood up, her smile masking more emotional pain than physical pain. She slowed a bit and went towards the door.

"Carrrrrrreful." Yuki murmured as she stumbled. He then let his hand drop, losing the desire and will to keep it up on the side of the bed. His knuckles rapped the floor with a sharp retort, but it barely made him blink. Huh. I think I'm going numb.
Then Yuki was pretty sure he was either asleep or hallucinating because little purple bunnies don't usually crawl out of the woodwork and gather around a burning backpack. They also don't tend to offer jumping bean sacrifices to the Great Cheese in the Sky, doing the ancient and cultural dance of the Red Hot Push Pins, but these seemed to pull it off just fine, right in the middle of his bedroom floor. He lay flat, watching them, not really caring about much of anything and focusing on not focusing on how he felt at the moment.

At the noise, Tohru turned around and stared worriedly at him. He was staring at a spot in the middle of the room in a way that was completely unsettling to her. Like he was staring at something that only he could see. She shivered and ran downstairs, this time managing to keep her balance. As fast as she could, she unpacked the bags and pulled out the necessary ingredients from the fridge.
A pot was already set out for her. She took it and filled it up with water and put it on the stove to boil, dropping in spice. Delicately, she chopped up the vegetables into different textures and slowly added them to the boiling soup. She made sure to make enough for four that would last at least three days.
She added some salt to the soup and took a spoon and took a tiny sip, the nearly finished soup stinging at her lips. It was nearly done. She dropped in some garlic powder and pepper and tasted it again. Complete. She turned the stove off and let the soup sit while she went to the cupboard for the crackers.
Arranging two trays carefully with a bowl of soup and five crackers each, she carried one upstairs, leaving the other out for Shigure.
She reached Yuki's door. "Yuki-kun...I have the soup. I'm sorry it took so long."

By the time Tohru was finished cooking, Yuki had managed to drift into a state of unconciousness, and he looked peaceful, if only a little pale. Her voice didn't wake him.
(It'd be longer if I didn't just realize how late to work I was)

(Yay! My first official Hatori post!)
Hatori had stayed there for a while longer, his own weakness standing out against the normal professional look he'd had not so long ago. He stood in the halls and finally decided that it would be best if he went to check up on Hatsuharu and the others.
So, he politely turned to Shigure, "If anything starts to worsen and I am needed, you may contact me. As for now, I best get back to the main house for a check-up on the others. I have yet to see the other people's conditions." He said. He turned and headed for the downstairs door.
It would be very difficult to make it home, for the weakness continuously took away all his will to carry on, but, a doctor was to continue his work (or at least he saw it fit to carry on trying his best to help the others). After all, he had helped Akito before the tragedy of Akito's death, but, Akito had died, and he had let it happen. It was his fault that he let Akito go to the highschool. A strange expression caught his face for a split-second, then, it faded as fast as it had come.

Tohru wasn't sure if she should wake Yuki or not. What if, if he woke up, he couldn't fall back asleep later? Or what if he wasn't hungry at all and would be woken for nothing?
She sighed and stepped into the room and set the tray down by his bed. "Yuki-kun...Yuki-kun..." she said softly, reaching out to touch his shoulder.

Shigure nodded to Hatori and watched him turn to leave. Just before Hatori was out of sight Shigure asked, "Do you think that we'll be able to reverse it?"
(btw Hatori, I love your signature at the bottom. It's awesome!)
(also, I think that someone needs to throw in some kind of plot twist. I feel so repetitive in my posts.)

Yuki was like a rag doll. He didn't react to Tohru in any way, shape, or form. He breathed shallowly, but at least he was breathing. By all other signs he was dead.
He was asleep, and not about to wake up until the sky came crashing down.
((I thought of a mean plot twist. I do not know if I should attempt it. It needs some thought, because...hee hee! Hang on, wait another post or two...hee hee! Oh, it's too good to pass up! It means role playing an extra inside Yuki's posts, but I think it's worth it.))

[ Oh no...I hope it's nothing too sad! ]
Tohru bit her lip, contemplating. Yuki needed sleep, so she didn't think it would be a good idea to wake him up. She looked at his face a little longer, smiling at how serene he seemed to be. But then, Yuki was always calm. Usually anyway...not at all like how he had been at Hatori's...
She turned to leave. Yuki didn't need her, so maybe Shigure would.
Tohru walked back down the stairs then picked up the tray she had left out for Shigure. She walked down the hall, poking her head into doors looking for him.

(So I'm not sure when Hatori is going to reply, but I want to keep going so I'm skipping ahead a little bit)
Shigure retired back to his study. All kinds of papers covered his desk. Sitting down he decided that he was going to try to give his mind a rest from all the worrying by writting a few pages. Unfortunately all he could do was sit there and stare at the blank pages.
After a few minutes he crossed his arms on the table and laid his head down on top. "Maybe if I get a little rest. I'm completely drained." But that too escaped him and eventually he just had to consent to just sitting there.
