“YUKI!” Called a sing-songy voice from the entryway, as the paper door was slid open dramatically. “I’ve come to visit!” The second sentence was pointless; but, it seemed that was what Sohma Ayame specialized in saying: pointless things. The Juunishi’s Snake waltzed inside, when he couldn’t spot anyone in the main room. “My, my! How dismal! There is no one here to greet me!” Ayame sighed, placing hands on his lavender-clad hips and gazing at the ground for a moment, before looking up, his entrancing golden eyes flashing. “Well, it is obviously because everyone is /so/ overly excited about my arrival, they can’t move with sheer delight!” He then proceeded to laugh in his usual confident manner. He glanced about, flipping his gorgeous long silvery hair over one shoulder without thinking. “Now, I wonder where my dear younger brother has gotten to…?” He mused. “Or Gure-san…Or even Tohru-kun or Kyonkcihi.” He thought for a moment. “Is it at all possible that they aren’t home?” He then laughed with poise again. “Of course not! They would never think to leave the house when /I/ visit!”
((Meh...Sorry about the short, crappy-ness. I can't think just now. XD))

(Sorry I couldn't get on last night, I'm here now. I have to admit, even if this means doom, I do like the entrance.)
Yuki sat upstairs in his room studying. It had been a pretty dull afternoon, but the weather was nice and the work needed doing. It was about page 56 that the door slammed open. Kyo is gone for the entire day. Is it a robber? Yuki stood up and crept to his bedroom door, alarmed. It was then that his name was called, "YUKI!" Yuki immediately jumped to the other side of the room looking for somewhere to hide. Dull was good, dull was good! He thought quickly. No one else would be home for a while, Shigure was actually out of the house (for once) and Yuki didn't know when he'd be back. Tohru...Tohru was either shopping or visiting with her friends...and who cared where Kyo was? The point was that Yuki was alone in the house with his hyper monster older brother.
Crap.
Yuki sighed, At least he doesn't know which room is mine. He can tear up the whole house before he---wait. He actually would tear up the house, wouldn't he? Oh yes, he would. Yuki's feet moved before he had time to reconsider. Opening the door and making his was hastily down the stairs he muttered, "Shigure, you owe me one for keeping your house standing." When he reached the bottom he spoke in a clear voice, "What do you want, Onii-san? Your visit is unexpected, and undesired to say the least."

((That's okay! ^-^ Sometimes, I can't get on either, so I understand.))
Upon hearing the sound of his young brother's voice, Ayame immediately spun about, looking towards the foot of the stairs. Ah, to joy! There /was/ someone home...And just the someone he'd been looking for! It was /amazing/ how good his luck was.
"Ah, Yuki!" He exclaimed, switching seamlessly from 'hyper' mode, to 'annoying.' "And how have you been, my dearest younger brother?!" He disregarded Yuki's previous comment entirely, in favor of his hyper, rapid-fire questions. "Did you miss your most caring, considerate older brother in the approximate twelve days that we have not seen one another?!" He chuckled. "But of course you did!" Ayame answered himself. "Why, the only person who /wouldn't/ miss me would have to be out of their mind!" And here he went again...Babbling. No, wait. Babbling with /confidence/. "But, never mind all that! I have brought with me, little brother, a confectionery treat for us to share as we deepen our brotherly bond!" The snake proclaimed, pulling from behind his back (in a way that only Ayame himself knew how) a large cheesecake with strawberry frosting. Somehow, it hadn't been there before. But, that's beside the point, is it not?

Yuki imagined himself cutting the cake. With a really, really big knife. Then slipping. Oh, no! Poor Ayame! He shook the thought from his mind, "12 days? Has it really only been 12 days? What a shame, don't you know it's bad luck to come back after only 12 days? You should wait 12 more. Then you get a double dozen, which is a good thing. Oh dear, Onii-san, I can't have you ruin your luck for such a small thing. You'd better go." Yuki tried being polite. He did not need this idiotic fool when he was already a bit behind in studying. If this tactic didn't work, he didn't know what to do...
And cake does sound good. Maybe I can get him to leave it behind...

((I haven't been on lately! Gomen nasai!))
Ayame simply chuckled in response. "Ah, my luck is of little consequence when it is compared to the importance of our brotherly bond!" The snake proclaimed. "Especially when I, magnificent person that I am, /always/ have good luck!" He nodded for emphasis. "Now, my dearest younger brother..." He set the cheesecake down on the low table. "With no one else present, we will have to devour the entire dish ourselves!" He smiled. "Come, come! Let us partake of this lovely cake of cheese which fate--and the profit of my fabulous shop--had bestowed upon us!"
