Name: Allison (Buahaha! Yes, it is I, Ayame! See any connections?)
Age: Sixteen
Character you are applying for: Ritsu Sohma
How much experience do you have?: Well, in Role Playing, about two or three years. In Furuba Role Play, about a year to a year and a half.

How much of Fruits Basket (either anime or manga, but this is an anime based roleplay) have you seen/read?: Well, I've seen all the anime, and am currently on chapter 109 in volume 18 of the manga.
Please supply a sample post of the character you are applying for, at least nine or ten sentences long.
'There's no use. There's no use in my existence. I'm sure that everyone would be so much happier...If they didn't know me. If I'd...Never been born.' These morbid thoughts passed through the head of one Sohma Ritsu, the monkey of the Juunishi.
Brown-hazel eyes passed to the window of the room, as the hazy early-evening sunset filtered in, the deep golden light washing over the room, bathing Ritsu and everything else in its rays.
At first glance, you might think Ritsu a woman. Even after first glance, and even after speaking to Ritsu, you might think Ritsu was a woman. (One Honda Tohru certainly had, and she certainly hadn't been the first, and wouldn't be the last.) This could be for any one--or all of--a few reasons. The first and foremost was that Ritsu did resemble a woman--with feminine features, and delicate frame, along with long reddish hair, which reached a little above his elbows. Second was that Ritsu wore women's clothing--usually a traditional furisode, a long-sleeved kimono of varying patterns and colors. But, the truth remained. Ritsu was, in fact, a man of about twenty years, attending college.
Confidence. Shame. The two traits the monkey desired most were the two traits that seemed so out of his reach. His excessive apologizing could be credited to lack of both these things.
Oh, sure. People had told him that he didn't need to apologize for everything--that nobody blamed him for everything. But, it went deeper than that.
An image flashed in Ritsu's mind, of his parents. His parents had always been apologizing for him...All his life. It only got worse when he started dressing like a girl, finding that hiding behind women's clothing helped him to survive each day--even if it only made him feel worse about himself.
A second image. "Kagura-chan...May I keep this dress?" Asked a small Ritsu.
An equally small Kagura blinked up at him. "You mean you'd wear it?" She questioned. "More than once?"
And that had been the beginning.
Ritsu, wearing a deep crimson-colored furisode today, with a matching bow pulling his hair back, sighed, and he stood up from where he'd been sitting on his futon. "I've been telling everyone...That I'd try to be more confident...That I'd try to have shame..." He murmured to himself. "I think it's time that...I actually...Kept my promise..." He glanced at his wardrobe, which seemed so far off just now, when in reality it was only across the room. "Hatori-niisan and Shigure-niisan and Ayame-niisan believe in me..." He tried to assure himself. "If I'm ever going to be confident like Ayame-niisan...I need to try..." As an image of Ayame prancing about flamboyant passed across his mind, Ritsu began taking deliberate steps toward the wardrobe, intending to pick out the pair of pants that he would wear tomorrow.
((Ehe! It's me, Ayame! ^-^ Since everyone else seems to be getting split personalities, I figured I'd try, too! Should it come as a surprise, or be expected that I chose Ritsu? Maybe I just have a thing for guys like Aaya and Ritchan?
Stop looking at me like that.
Well, Ayame and Ritsu are exact opposites...Yet, they're very much...Alike? ^-^; So, whether you saw it coming or not...You like? -Hopes so-))
