I write (a lot) and I wanted to see what people rated this piece of poetry/song I did. Most that I know claimed it was very morbid and scary. XD OH! Before I forget, the poetry is morbid and I do not do any bad things that are deadly. I just wanted to make that clear.

The Lingering Acid Of An X-Rated Romance:
We should've known from the start that our love was never meant.
Like acid to the skin as it slowly devours the bleeding flesh.
A rash forms over the dissolving skin and slowly it's torn away.
We should've known that our x-rated love wasn't true.
Like the stench of decaying flesh as it rots to nothing.
That's what our x-rated romance was, hun, wasn't it?
We should've seen the looks of terror on the faces of our friends.
Like the horror of finding a monster in your closet at eight.
Like a story that never ends.
We should've seen the ways our looks clashed together.
Like sandpaper and satin.
Like waves upon a black-sanded beach.
We should've understood that our love was over-rated.
Like paper mache' falling from a clocktower with the joys of the dead.
And like stories of speaking trees who caress those who walk by.
We should've understood that our love was a pity crush.
Like two puppies snuggling, cuddling, and kissing each other.
And like two young children walking hand-in-hand.
We'll watch our x-rated romance linger in the air like acid.
Like butterfly kisses on the neck and suicidal attempts.
But, best of all, like the acidic rain that pours on our hearts.
It's that, that turns our hearts to black and our souls to red.
It's that, that turns our words to pathetic reminisces.
It's that, that turns the blood in our body from garnet to chrome.
Loving me means a golden trim on your grave,
It means I make love hurt with deep passion,
It means that I'm the selfish one who puts acid in the air,
The one that makes hearts tremble and break.
Loving you means a crushed velvet case.
It means you want your lover to go out smelling as beautiful as they are.
It means you're the one who holds your lover tightly (with passion).
The one that makes hearts flutter and mend.
It's all just an x-rated romance with acid lingering in the dents.
Like acid to the skin as it slowly devours the bleeding flesh.
A rash forms over the dissolving skin and slowly it's torn away.
