From what I can remember, Yuki's voice was soft except at certain times when his voice sounded totally...unYuki.

Heh. Like the time in the episode where they go to the hot springs, and Kyo has a one liner where he has no voice at all, just this creepy DeepThroat imitation.
Yuki being soft is acceptable. Thank goodness for that.

I'm back and Yuki, I so agree that I should come to your house to watch it. *Shakes fist*

Well? Saturdays, Saturdays, there's always room for Saturdays.

The two voices that bothered me were Hatori and Momiji. Hatori was extremely deep, and it took me an age to get used to it. And Momiji? I knew it was a girl, but then I found out I could imitate it nearly perfectly without trying.
Who I felt was the best though, was Shigure. Spot on perfect. Even in the very first episode I was in tears cracking up from that man.

Rin do you refer to the Japanese or the English voices when you say that? I'm afriad I've only heard the Japanese...
...now I gotta hear these English ones.

English. I've listened to the Japanese, though, too, out of sheer curiousity. 'Tori-san was really deep in both of them, though, I guess... Momiji's English voice is just so obviously a girl; it's crazy.

I still hate them. Tohru is just... /wrong/!!
Ha'ri's voice is too deep, but I like the Japanese better... I refuse to watch anime in english.... I prefer subtitles to a /massive/ extent....

Thank you. I mean, I don't like the sub vs dub wars, but thank you. I highly approve of the Japanese versions. I mean, enjoyment while learning another language? Sort of? That's why I watch the stuff now anyway.

I've heard a few of the English voices and personally I think that Japanese is far better. Plus I've gotten so used to watching subtitles that it's second nature. It's funny because sometimes I don't even realize that I'm watching it in Japanese while reading subtitles.

See, I'm learning words here and there from reading the subtitles, so it makes me happy.
Wow.. I have officially created an entire group of anime fanatics at my previous school.. Ack...

(I did the same with Terry Pratchett. Holy freakin' cow.)
Yeah, it's a great way to learn the language, just bear in mind that you should never speak that way to a real Japanese person.
The langauge used is anime in incredibly rude, and is nearly the verbal equivalent of flipping a stranger off.
Not quite that harsh, but really, it's not real Japanese. It is, however, an excellent way to start noticing patterns and pick up on volcabulary. I highly enjoy it. Just...make sure to take a class before flying to the country, ne?
Anyway, what I was actually going to say is that I agree with Shigure. I barely realize I'm reading the subtitles now. It gets easier not to read them at all (THAT'S when it gets fun!) but it's nice to know you can really do two things at once: read and watch TV.

(Ack! MY TERRY PRATCHETT!!! *Huggles Discword series*)
I know, but let me remind you again: I'm twelve, it gets me off to a good start! ^__^

Actually, when it's an English show with subtitles, I just...can't help but read it anyway. It's like my eyes are DRAWN to them. So it'd be hard to not read them when it's Japanese. It actually distracts me.
